Salute Pied-à-Terre Dorsoduro

A charming mezzanine apartment in a beautiful Gothic palazzetto

A charming mezzanine apartment in a beautiful Gothic palazzetto

A delightful mezzanine apartment neatly positioned between the first and second floor of a late 16th century Gothic palazzetto of two piano nobili, a mansarda, located in a very quiet area of Venice yet just 100 metres from the Basilica della Salute.

It benefits from an independent entrance on the side of the building with only one ground floor space.

A private flight staircase leads to the apartment, comprising a lovely living/dining room with stylish fitted kitchen space.

Original Venetian terrazzo floors and decorated wooden beams à la Sansovino.

Two bedrooms, the larger one with garden views, two marble bathrooms, one smaller than the other, both with shower.

The interior of the apartment and the whole palazzo were restored 6-7 years ago. Each room is equipped with a new air conditioning system.

A delightful and comfortable pied-à-terre in a truly lovely and highly desirable location.

What attracted us to this property

This is a super comfortable pied-à-terre in everyone's dream location close to Salute, in a beautiful gothic palazzo. Grand Canal vaporetto and traghetto close by, and two minutes from the Zattere with its open canal breezes and excellent restaurants. The ideal base to have in Venice.

Dorsoduro

This sestiere is regarded as the Mayfair of Venice: quiet yet brimming with things to see, from the Guggenheim Museum with its delightful, leafy gardens and exquisitely curated collection of modern art, to the Punta Della Dogana, a sensational collection of contemporary art in the old customs building, recently restored by Tadao Ando, to the Accademia Galleries. Snaking along the best part of the Grand Canal, you will find charming palazzi - some grand and opulent, others on a pleasingly human scale. Take a short stroll from the Accademia Bridge to the Zattere for a long canalside ‘passeggiata’ or to Campo Santa Margherita, where locals gather to catch up with friends to enjoy the night air.  Perfect for an evening spritz before dinner, or a nightcap before walking home.
